Yes, I just covered this very topic in my last post...but, where that post was a bit of a Social Media Caveat Emptor, if you will, in this post I will tell you about the true power of Social Media plus share some very exciting news...
About 2-3 years ago, I befriended a gentleman named Drew McClellan. Drew is the brains behind the McClellan Marketing Group in Des Moines, Iowa. His blog is widely read and highly regarded in the advertising and marketing worlds, having been named one of the15 Entrepreneur Blogs Worth Reading by the Wall St. Journal.
I was even given the honor of being a Guest Blogger of his a few years back... very cool indeed.
Drew is quite the renaissance man, who despite the fact he's a Dodgers fan (yes, I won a bet off him; thanks Phils) is truly a genius when it comes to the power of the Internet, Social Media and bringing people together.
It is with that I tell you about The Age of Conversation III, which is, well, instead of me trying to explain it in my own words, just read this (which is gleaned right from the website):
"Following on the success of the first two editions, Age of Conversation III: It’s Time to Get Busy! again kick-starts the discussion about how the global marketing landscape is changing. With over 300 of the world’s leading marketers, writers, thinkers and creative innovators contributing chapters, this collaborative work investigates the roles that community, conversation, experimentation, engagement, and collaboration play in shaping the 21st century’s economy of ideas. Click here to read the whole thing"
Below is the aforementioned list of the "over 300 of the world’s leading marketers, writers, thinkers and creative innovators..." and I am very proud to say my name appears in this list as I was extremely honored to be asked to contribute a chapter in the next installment of The Age of Conversation - which will be on sale starting sometime this April, if not sooner.
'Til next time.
All the best,
|
