Holy rain delay Batman... I have not posted anything since November 17th!!!

With this post I give you a few reasons why this world is going to hell... perhaps in a hand basket, although I'm not quite sure what that is, so...

SOMETIMES YOU FEEL LIKE A NUT...

I have to start with this one... I just have to... I so love humor and this made me drop to the floor in tears I was laughing so hard.

Right from the Washington Post:

ACORN inquiry finds no illegal acts

Is that the funniest headline you ever heard?

Wait, it gets better... (more from the Post):

"The community-organizing group ACORN said Monday (December 7) that an internal investigation had concluded there was no criminal conduct by employees who offered advice on how to hide assets and falsify lending documents."

You know ACORN, the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now... that's the group that was caught on video offering advice to a woman and a man posing as a prostitute and her boyfriend.

Watch for yourself...

Funny stuff, huh?

Well if you REALLY want to laugh, check out what former Massachusetts attorney general and current ACORN CEO Scott Harshbarger had to say about the videos after they came to light:

"We did not find a pattern of intentional, illegal conduct by ACORN staff involved; in fact, no action, illegal or otherwise, was ever taken by any ACORN employee on behalf of the videographers. Instead, the videos represent the byproduct of ACORN's long-standing management weaknesses, including a lack of training, a lack of procedures and a lack of onsite supervision."

"Long standing management weaknesses?"

"Lack of training, procedures and onsite supervision?"

Excuse me???!!! You had employees at no fewer than four ACORN offices there Scotty that have been caught on videotape advising a man and a woman on how to
skirt federal law to obtain housing and operate a brothel!!!!

I didn't realize training, procedures and onsite supervision were required to prevent someone from knowing NOT to help someone set up a freaking whore house. My bad...

YES BUT WHAT WAS THE 3rd STORY?...
I realize this is a few weeks old but...

It was Black Friday. I was watching the evening news broadcast of the local ABC affiliate, Channel 6 Action News. Normally starting at 6PM, this particular telecast began at 7PM due to a long running football game.

The broadcast began, as one would expect, with "earth shattering" news AKA The Big Story that people have been shopping on Black Friday... I know, I know. Shocking, right? I live in Philly and surely the rest of the country doesn't spend Black Friday shopping, right? (Sarcasm? Check).

So for the first 10 minutes (yes I counted) we had "full team coverage" of the chaos that is Black Friday.

At 7:11PM the 2nd story of the night came on... it was really a nothing kind of story... just something about an escaped murdered walked out of a local jail and was now wondering the streets of Philadelphia.

I nearly fell out of my chair...

How severely screwed (I wanted to use a different word, trust me) is this world we live in when the people we depend on for information, AKA news, REAL news... has their priorities so ass backwards???!!!

ARE YOU FU#@ING ME???!!!!!

IT WAS AN ESCAPED MURDERER YOU STUPID ASSES!!! This wasn't some jaywalker we're talking about!!!

I really have nothing else to say...

NOT ICE CREAM BUT I SCREAM!!...
And so will you after watching this WTF were they thinking spot...

Ok, that's it for now... as you can plainly see, the world is headed toward complete and utter... well, something... it's headed to a very bad place, yeah that's it...

Ok, I can't end on a bad note. It's the holidays after all.

Here's one of my all time favorite Christmas TV spots and irony of ironies... I don't even drink. I just love this commercial... enjoy!

If I don't get around to posting again BEFORE Christmas and New Year's (a definite possibility), I want to wish EVERYONE a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

All the best,
